The Church

Why should I take a mission trip?
Through our Mission Trip Community Groups at Desperation Church, we are a part of equipping individuals and leaders for the work of ministry (Ephesians 4:12) through education, coaching, relational support, and hands-on serve opportunities. Our heart is to see individuals released and empowered to change the world in their area of passion by becoming supporters, mobilizers, and senders who capture God’s heartbeat for the nations.
What kind of mission trip is right for me?
Consider factors like location, duration, and the type of service offered (construction, childcare, medical care, etc.). Please note all international trips require a valid passport.
Do I need to speak the language to go on a mission trip?
While the ability to speak the language is helpful, it is not a requirement to join a mission trip group. The team will have ample access to translators to engage those we meet.
If I join a mission trip group, am I required to go?
No! If you are interested in learning more about the mission trip, then join the team. This will put you in contact with the leader who can answer any questions you might have.
What's the cost of the mission trip?
A typical mission trip ranges from $1,500- $3,500. The budget for each trip is unique depending on the location and area of ministry. Upon signing up for the group, the team leader will provide payment details and fundraising information.
Do I need vaccinations?
The team leader will provide you with any necessary or suggested vaccinations. Consult with your doctor or a travel clinic to ensure you're up-to-date on all necessary vaccinations for your destination.

Desperation Church global partners represent work all over the world, and specifically within unreached people groups in the 10/40 Window. Because of our passion to reach the unreached, each of our global partners works in some way among the unreached, where most have little to no access to the life-changing message of Jesus.
